Linux Turns 15

On August 25th, 1991, Linus Torvalds announced that he was working on a free operating system for 386/486. Linux intended this to be a hobby, “nothing big” he said. If he had only known 🙂 I’ve been using Linux since 1998 and in that short period of time I’m amazed at how much progress has been made. Nowadays, just about any hardware works on Linux and more and more games are being supported. Desktops like Ubuntu make it easy for most people to install and run Linux Desktops at home.
