Phone Button on Jetta…

So I finally figured out what the phone button is on my new Jetta. I called VW America and they were kind enough to inform me that it’s an aftermarket kit that does in fact allow bluetooth phones to interface with the vehicle. Installed, they estimated that it was about $600-700. I did a little research on the Internet and found the kit for about $275 in parts. From what I can gather, you need the actual bluetooth kit, the Motorola BLNC™ IHF1000Z Premium Bluetooth Car Kit and then a connector for the stereo. I haven’t yet ordered the parts but they are definitely on my wish list.

If you’ve installed the kit, let me know. I’d love to hear about your experiences.

Did you install this kit? Just bought a 2006 GLI and would like to install this but want to make sure it is the correct car kit that will use the phone button.
