T minus 1 day, 10 hours and 51 minutes, if you are counting. Yesterday started what I would call the “wedding activities.” We picked up our Tuxes (or what was ready of them anyway) and dropped off all of our ceremony and reception stuff at the hotel. Tonight is our rehearsal and dinner. And then tomorrow is the big day.
Our information and tickets from Sandals arrived Tuesday and I was getting really excited looking through the information. We have our own butler in our room who is supposed to keep our bar filled (we had to pick what type of alcohol we like), draws us a bath if we want, unpacks and packs our clothes, brings us room service and all kinds of other things. I feel like it will be awkward at first but I think I’ll get used to it real quick.
The tux pick up was kind of a fiasco. My shirt had what looked like lipstick on it so I needed a new shirt. The pants were too big so they gave me a smaller size but that pair had a hole in it. And my jacket needed to be lengthened a little (but that’s no biggie), so I ended up leaving there with nothing. Kaleb’s vest wasn’t in, they said becuase it was a special order since he was so mall but Derek’s vest and tie weren’t in either. Sabrina’s Dad, my Dad, Scott and Nick did leave with their full suits so that’s better than half I guess. If this is the only drama we encounter with all the planning that went into this weddding, I think we’ll be in good shape.
After the tuxes we all went to Don Pablo’s for dinner. I told them it was Derek’s birthday so they would make him wear the sombraro. It was a great time.
Everything has been coming together real nice and I’m very anxious for the big day.
