Shot of the Day
I busted out my unicycle today and went for a quick ride. Mainly to see if I still remembered how to ride and for a bit of exercise. While I’m not as smooth as I once was, I can get from point A to point B. I managed to ride and press the remote shutter release at the same time.
I merged two photos together to add the clone of me in the shot. The process was pretty easy with the “Align Layers” feature of Photoshop. I saw the process on the Photoshop User TV podcast. In the podcast, the process was used to combine a group shot to get the best expression from each of the subjects. It was quite an impressive tool.
Become a Flockstar
I’ve been using Flock for a few weeks now and I really enjoy it. It’s Firefox injected with Web 2.0 vitamins. The browser integrates with Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, and many blogs. I’ve found that it’s made it easy to keep up with my Flickr groups and see the latest additions. Updating your Facebook status or sending a tweet to Twitter couldn’t be easier either. All of those functions are available from the sidebar. Best of all, it is Firefox underneath so most of your favorite Firefox extensions will work.
