Last year I was approached by Apress about writing a book on iOS 5. It seemed like a great opportunity and something that had been on my bucket list. I was very excited to take on the challenge and then quickly found myself overwhelmed trying to balance a full-time job, several side projects, and a very aggressive writing schedule. I was struggling to meet deadlines, in all aspects of my life, and really needed some help.
Thankfully, my good friend and fellow Baltimore Mobile developer, Colin Francis, agreed to step in and take over the completion of the book. I don’t know how I would have managed if Colin had not agreed to help me out. Colin deserves a great deal of credit for the book. Once I turned it over to him, he took lead and saw the book to its completion. We had a few conversations throughout the process about which directions to go but Colin did a great job managing the project and putting words down on paper.
I think the book covers a wide range of topics and has a little something for everyone. My goal was to provide information and tools and tips that would benefit iOS developers of all skill sets.
